OVERALL FUNCTION: The Clinical Supervisor will oversee the STRTP Mental Health Programs including Group Homes, and Aftercare services at all program sites. S/he will assist the Clinical Director in ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to clients and families and thorough and efficient communication, coordination, and documentation of services and operations that are in compliance with DMH standards at all STRTP sites.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
• Maintains up-to-date information on all DMH, Probation and DCFS QA/QI documentation and program requirements regarding STRTP MH Programs and communicates updates to the Clinical Director and the Chief Compliance and Quality Improvement Officer.
• Ensures Day Rehab, outpatient, and Aftercare services and documentation being provided at STRTP sites are in compliance with DMH and Probation contracts.
• Monitors/Supervises clinical and documentation training for Clinicians/MHRS staff in STRTP Mental Health Programs.
• Supervises the Aftercare Program including managing referrals, interfacing with supervisors and therapists from other programs, attending CFTs, and assigning cases to Aftercare therapists.
• Directly supervises and trains the Aftercare therapists and provides individual/group supervision.
• Develop Aftercare program for out of county program graduates.
• Completes regular random clinical chart reviews of different therapists at each STRTP MH Program to ensure compliance and consistency across all STRTP sites.
Based on reviews, communicates findings to Clinical Supervisors and Clinical Director, and provides feedback and additional training as needed.
• Assists QI and Clinical Director with management of quarterly Peer Chart Review process for all Mental Health Programs in his or her area of responsibility.
• Coordinates clinical training for Evidence-Based Practices, as well as ongoing certification/re-certification to ensure compliance with DMH and practice model developers’ requirements.
• Directly supervises administrative assistants who are responsible for providing administrative support re: maintaining clinical records and funding, tracking documentation, and completing ongoing audit processes and reporting of results to the Clinical Director and the Chief Compliance and Quality Improvement Officer.
• Monitors and assists with resolution of billing problems/conflicts. Coordinates with QI (EHRS), Business Office, and Clinical Director, as needed.
• Assists the Clinical Director in attending internal and external stakeholder meetings, as assigned and reports back to the Clinical Director, QI and MH Management and clinical and admin staff as needed.
• Evaluates work of direct reports and provides disciplinary action when needed. • Attends and participates in required training and provides in-service trainings as needed.
• Acts as the Head of Service for STRTP Main Campus site.
• Other duties as requested by the Clinical Director. QUALIFICATIONS:
• Possess Masters level degree or higher in field of psychology or behavioral health (MSW, MA/MS-MFT, Ph.D, etc.) and current license (LCSW, LMFT, etc.)
• Minimum two years supervisory experience and competence, specifically with DMH and Probation systems of care.
• Must have the visual, physical and technical ability to independently operate a variety of office equipment including the use of a computer.
• Ability to verbally communicate well with others.
• Organized and able to manage numerous tasks and projects. Demonstrated ability of delegate and support staff in completion of related tasks and projects.
• Strong demonstrated leadership skills in behavioral health environment.
• Strong verbal, writing, and teamwork skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• Ability to manage time effectively and be flexible with hours and duties.
• All employees, regardless of position service as role models for children and adolescents who are serviced by OYHFS programs. Therefore, each employee must at all times be emotionally stable and able to function effectively with children, adolescents and adults who may have mental or behavioral problems. The staff must be able to demonstrate appropriate daily behavior, appropriate expression of emotions, as well as appropriate role modeling. Hostility, aggression and unnecessary or inappropriate physical actions as well as inappropriate emotional expression are not acceptable.
• Must be able to pass criminal/fingerprinting background check, TB test, physical examination and drug testing.
• Must have a valid California Drivers License and a clear DMV record.
• Must have the visual, physical and technical ability to independently operate a variety of office equipment including the use of a computer.
